Hunter Lundmark - Intern Highlight

Our sixth entry highlighting P&C’s awesome 2020 interns is master of time and space/360 camera enthusiast, Hunter Lundmark. Hunter is currently working at the Milwaukie / El Puente Elementary School Renovation project for the North Clackamas School District. Now in its second phase of construction, the project includes major renovations, infrastructure and technology improvements, construction of secured passages to exterior classrooms, and a remodeled covered play area.

These days Hunter is mostly focused on closeout operations and site documentation. In addition to gathering the project’s maintenance and warranty information, each day includes a full site walk with the 360 camera. It’s on these walks where Hunter can liaise with subcontractors, all while taking photos and videos that help keep the owner up to date on the project’s progress.

Hunter is no stranger to construction; not only is he the fourth generation in his family to pursue a career in construction, he’s also worked as a field tech for the Clackamas County Surveyors Office. He had been looking for the right internship for several years, so we asked Hunter why he finally landed at P&C. “This is a company built and focused on a family atmosphere,” he said. “They value interns as future employees.”

Currently enrolled in Oregon State’s Construction Engineering Management (CEM) program, Hunter plans to graduate in spring of 2022 and secure a position as a project engineer. His advice for future interns, “Do your research. Get to know the companies and what they’re about.” A consummate perfectionist, Hunter also threw in a bit of aged wisdom from Abe Lincoln, “Good things come to those who wait.” Wise words, Gentlemen.
