Plans, coordinates, and performs the estimating functions for assigned estimates or tasks to support an estimate for projects, including pre-construction through hard bid projects.
Essential Functions:

- Performs estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
- Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost incurred in the installation of items
- Assists with maintaining resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
- Provide value engineering and cost savings analysis
- Provide constructability review of plans and specifications
- Read and analyze blueprints, specifications, and other bid documents to prepare formal, comprehensive time, cost, material, and labor estimates
- Research the cost of materials, transport, labor, and equipment
- Prepare clarifications and exclusions lists
- Perform quantity takeoffs
- Maintain strong professional relationships with current and new vendors/clients.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends, including recommendations for price adjustments
- Support other department personnel as required
Requirements:
- You may not have everything noted, but perhaps you have a strong combination of experience, technical, and academic skills in the following areas:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Equivalent field experience in lieu of degree
- 5-7 years of experience
- Experience with or willingness to learn Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Sharepoint, Smart Sheets and Blue Beam
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently to meet multiple deadlines
- Attention to detail

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position is also located at active construction sites adhering to safety requirements and appropriate use of PPE.

- This is a full-time position; typical office hours and evenings/weekends as needed.
