This CM/GC project for the City of Hillsboro includes the creation of a new 11-acre park on the west side of 53rd Avenue. Adjacent to the existing 53rd Avenue Community Park and just south of the newly completed Hidden Creek Community Center, the new park will be one part of Hillsboro’s new “Trifecta.” Most importantly, the park will be designed and built for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, further connecting, creating and strengthening the Hillsboro community.
Scope includes natural play features, a sand and water play area, specialized runnel paving, naturalistic plantings, flexible lawns, pathways and trails, a fitness area, a place space for pop-up activities, a games area, shade structures, picnic pavilion, restrooms, parking and open spaces filled with climate-adapting landscaping and native restoration plants.
Additionally, the park will feature a custom play structure designed and fabricated by Earthscape Play Structures. With feedback from the community, the structure came from the City’s “Woods Gone Wild” theme and will feature a Forest Giant emerging from the woods to serve as an innovative way for guests to enjoy the new park.
