De La Salle North Catholic High School

De La Salle (DLS) North Catholic High School is a college preparatory high school in North Portland that educates underserved students throughout the Portland-Metro area. With its mission top of mind, “Enter to learn…learn to serve,” the 20-year-old school spent five years looking for a new space that would allow them to grow and their students to flourish. After reviewing more than 40 sites with their Design Team, the site of the St. Charles Parish on NE Killingsworth was eventually chosen as the ideal space to create a permanent home for DLS.

Winner of the Portland Business Journal’s 2022 “Transformative Awards” and Restore Oregon's 2022 "Demuro Award," the project includes a 21,500 sf addition featuring new commons area, restrooms, a gym, locker/fitness rooms and front office. Scope also includes upgrades to the existing building including 5,000 sf of new science classrooms in the existing commons space, 30,000 sf of existing space remodeled into new classrooms, as well as a new parking lot and courtyard area. The new campus accommodates more than 350 students, ensuring the school’s strong and transformative education will continue to impact a growing number of students’ lives long into the future.
