Robert Libke Public Safety Building

Civic and Community Facilities, Public Safety Facilities

The Robert Libke Public Safety Building for the Oregon City Police Department (OCPD) is named after Reserve Officer Robert Libke who was killed in the line of duty in 2013. The project involved the construction of a new, 34,000 sf, one-story building located at the former Mt. Pleasant School site in Oregon City. The structure features exposed cross laminated timber (CLT) bearing walls/roof with glu-laminated wood (glulam) beams. Building features include secure holding facilities, private rooms, protected parking, a new courtroom, and an open park space for public use. Not only will the new building make an ideal place for emergency response, it will serve as a cornerstone of public safety for the community.
