The 13,500 sf new fire station, constructed for the City of Hillsboro is located just east of the Hillsboro Airport. Unique features of the LEED Gold facility include a radiused metal roof system, a CMU/steel/wood-framed structure, and extensive use of sustainable materials. Project challenges involved working adjacent to a fully operational airport and installation of a new traffic signal on a major thoroughfare.
