This valuable 12,000 sffacility (a former furniture store), long planned and supported by community members, is the first year-round shelter in Beaverton. Knowing how important trauma-informed lighting and sustainability was to the City, P&C andInk Built worked together to find ways to deliver an energy efficient facility while staying within the established budget. Located off Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, the shelter features a year-round, low barrier shelter for houseless individuals with bathrooms, showers, laundry, support services, intake areas, clinical spaces and administration offices.
"Oregonians in every corner of our state are feeling the challenges of the affordable housing crisis, but projects and shelters like this can serve as lifelines for folks as they navigate this reality. This critical facility is a tangible example of how local, regional and federal partners can work together to make our communities better."
