This four-story, 27,524 sf, 29-unit affordable multi-family residential complex was named after Isaka Shamsud-Din, a local African American artist whose legacy reverberates through the community through his art, teachings, and activism. Isaka Shamsud-Din has woven his African American heritage within his art as a means of strengthening community. The new apartment complex honors Shamsud-Din by expanding housing opportunities for low-income individuals and families.
Situated on NE 14th Place at NE Killingsworth St., the proposed site development also includes new utilities, an accessible courtyard and extensive landscaping.
